Expanded Optum Advisory Services receives accolades from Everest Group, Modern Healthcare and KLAS

In late 2017, the consulting division of the Advisory Board Company became part of Optum Advisory Services. Combining our capabilities has proven powerful. I credit our success to the talented people, powerful analytics and our sole focus on health care. Over the course of the last year, our combined organization has received recognition and honorable mentions.

Everest Group:

Everest Group’s PEAK Matrix assesses service providers’ capabilities and identifies them as Leaders, Major Contenders and Aspirants. The Matrix framework helps objectively assess service providers in a data-driven way. It allows you to compare service providers based on their absolute market impact, vision and capability. Everest Group analyzed 20 service providers and named Optum as a Leader in Healthcare Consulting. The report recognizes our diverse capabilities spanning the entire consulting value chain that caters to payers, care providers and PBMs across the globe.

2018 KLAS Healthcare Management Report:

Clients rated Optum Advisory Services the highest for expertise among Focused Healthcare-Specific consulting firms.  KLAS published the results in its 2018 KLAS Healthcare Management Report. Dr. Mitchell Morris has more than 30 years of health care experience in consulting, health care administration, technology, and clinical care. Prior to joining Optum, Dr. Morris was Vice Chairman and Global Leader for the Life Sciences and Healthcare Industry at Deloitte. Dr. Morris also served as Senior Vice President for Healthcare Systems and Chief Information Officer at MD Anderson Cancer Center where he was also Professor in Surgery and in Health Services Research. During his academic career, he received international recognition as a leading clinician, researcher, and educator.
