Moving health FORWARD
The Optum Forum theme – FORWARD – encourages participants to collaborate, push boundaries and advance innovation to create a better health care future in important areas such as data analytics, advancing patient care, enhancing population health and reducing the total cost of care. It’s an event environment designed to help foster new ideas, connections and collaboration.
The conference kicks off with a custom TED Salon (@TEDPartners), featuring six of the most innovative thinkers in health care delivering original TED Talks to be filmed on site, and closes with a talk on abundance by best-selling author Dr. Peter Diamandis. In between, Optum will share innovation across three market movements shaping the health care industry: data driven insights, value-based care acceleration and consumer-centric health care.
FORWARD Central Experience
Located at the epicenter of the conference is the FORWARD Central Experience, a dynamic, interactive space for learning opportunities, networking, collaboration and entertainment featuring immersive displays that address the hottest topics in health care through data, cutting-edge technology, and storytelling.
Paying it FORWARD
While in the FORWARD Central Experience, attendees can write letters and create military-grade survival bracelets for active duty military personnel, first responders, wounded heroes and military families with nonprofit Operation Gratitude. Attendees can also create colorful posters to cheer on athletes at upcoming Special Olympics of Nevada events.
