Now we’re learning what attendees think about these initiatives. Massachusetts-based International Data Corporation (IDC) reviewed Optum Forum 2017 and the initiatives unveiled there.
OptumIQ™ is our unique combination of data, analytics and health care expertise. It powers intelligence across the health care system.
“With the launch of OptumIQ™, Optum is clearly accelerating the move toward data as a service,” said Lynne Dunbrack, research vice president, IDC Health Insights.
Authors of the IDC review added that OptumIQ™ represents a more mature and coherent approach that unifies Optum analytics, data, software and services.
Optum Performance Analytics integrates clinical and claims data with sociodemographic, behavioral and patient-reported data to provide an understanding of patients, physicians, facilities and networks, and predict risk and improve outcomes.
The IDC authors said the combination of data with proven analytic models in a single platform is unprecedented in the market and is enhanced by Optum consulting, systems integration and both customized and off-the-shelf applications.
