This platform also provides our  coaches and nurses with a 360-degree view of each individual, so they can coordinate care and provide members with the resources they need, when and where they need them.

 

Wellness Coaching

Supporting the well-being of your members helps you improve Star ratings and HEDIS measures. Our wellness coaches meet members where they are and communicate with them via their preferred channel, whether by phone, email or chat.

Coaching support is available for weight loss, exercise, nutrition, stress management, quitting tobacco, diabetes and heart health.

 

Targeted incentives and content

Incentives are targeted to the member’s goals. Interactive, multilingual, curriculum-based content supports  them in reaching those goals.

 

Health risk assessments online, by phone or on paper

Our comprehensive health risk assessment (HRA) identifies modifiable risks and educates members about their health status. Based on the individual’s needs, we recommend specific actions to improve health. We can refer them to external programs or Optum health programs.

Shannon Massey, director, Product Management, Consumer Solutions Group, Optum

As Director of Product Management, Shannon leads the product development team for the Optum Payer Prevention Services. She and her  team work tirelessly to deliver the programs that help people be healthy through population health innovation, wellness strategies, quality and client support. She brings 20 years of experience from her positions at American Heart Association, Alere Health and Optum.
Carrie Domico is responsible for the Prevention external payer market Virtual Coaching, Lifestyle Coaching and Weight Talk programs.

She is also responsible for the Prevention employer market program design and curriculum. In these roles Carrie is responsible for the product lines who are creating industry leading digital and live coaching products. Carrie has been with the company for 13 years through a series of acquisitions. She received a Masters in Public Health with a concentration in Health Promotion from George Washington University and started her career creating online self-paced behavior change programs.
